Advising
All students are encouraged to develop an academic plan to guide them in their academic journey from incoming student through graduation.
Be sure to check in with the advising office designated for your major.
Undeclared students receive their academic advising from Undergraduate Advising. All other students can check the university advising website for their advising unit.
All undergraduate students (declared or undeclared) can benefit from the advising services available at the Academic Advising Link in the Learning Commons of the W.E.B. DuBois Library.
General Education Program
UMass Amherst has a core set of academic requirements that all undergraduate students must complete. This program ensures that students have an opportunity to develop critical thinking, communication and learning skills that will benefit them for a lifetime. The General Education Website has a wealth of information to help you understand the value of the program as well as guidance on how to complete the requirements.
Commonwealth Honors College

Center for Student Development offers a wealth of opportunities for all students on campus.
Disability Services is on campus to assist students with documented disabilities. Be sure to check in with them as soon as possible.
