Psychology Majors RAP Fall 2012

Students entering UMass Amherst as Psychology Majors are welcome to apply to this fantastic RAP!

When you join this RAP you will...

  • Share your living-and-learning experience with a community of high-achieving Psychology Majors.
  • Work closely with a faculty member to explore a variety of academic opportunities offered by the department.
  • Enroll in a 1-credit seminar created specifically for this RAP.
  • Learn about the resources of the Psychology Department from a variety of professors.
  • Discuss and identify ways to pursue your academic and career goals.

This program is a wonderful opportunity for 30 first-year students who are motivated to get to know other Psychology majors, make connections to faculty, and learn about the goals and opportunities within the Department of Psychology  at UMass Amherst .

Psych Majors RAP students will enroll in their own small section of Introductory Psychology (Psych 100) and a one-credit RAP seminar.

In the seminar students will meet distinguished faculty, hear about research opportunities, engage in panel presentations given by current majors and graduate students, learn how to navigate their way through academia, discover the incredible resources of the department, and learn how to increase their involvement in Psychology.

The Psych Majors RAP is open by application. Click here for the application.

Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis beginning April 1 and continuing until the RAP is full or the deadline of May 1. You will be informed about the status of your application by May 10.
