Psychology Majors RAP Professor Lucille Halgin with students

This program is a wonderful opportunity for 40 first-year students who are motivated to get to know other Psychology majors, make connections to faculty, and learn about the goals and opportunities within the Department of Psychology  at UMass Amherst .

Psych Majors RAP students will enroll in a small section of Introductory Psychology (Psych 100) and a one-credit departmental seminar which will both be taught by tenured faculty.

In the seminar students will meet distinguished faculty, hear about research opportunities, tour psychology labs, listen to panel presentations given by current majors and graduate students, learn how to navigate their way through academia, discover the incredible resources of the department, and learn how to increase their involvement in Psychology.
